About this deal

The Teigu were created on the instruction of the First Emperor, who feared that the Empire he had founded would eventually fall. To prevent this, he gathered many materials and hired many scientists throughout the world to make strong weapons and defenses. The creation of the Teigu are the result of their efforts. There were 48 Teigu in all, but almost half of them were lost during a civil war about five centuries before the start of the story. Several Teigu have been seen to be destroyed; it is not known how many of the original 48 remain.

When called upon by the Prime Minister to deal with a rebel army dealing with the south, Budo swore that he would destroy the rebels. However, shortly after making that statement, Budo noted his detestment at the Empire's current state and vowed to change it by eliminating the cause of the chaos himself. AKAME GA KILL! story by Takahiro, art by Tetsuya Tashiro - Yen Press". yenpress.com . Retrieved September 21, 2016. Originally a member of the Rakshasa Demons, Gozuki ( ゴズキ, Gozuki ) takes the seven most talented children amongst the many tested, Akame included, and trains them to be human weapons for the purpose of stamping out rebels acting against the Empire. He did not include Kurome amongst the seven as she finished in eighth place, and he did not want sisterly affections to interfere with their combat efficiencies. He refers them as his "children" and they in turn referred him as "father". He is intolerant of failure and threatens to disown any of them who failed in their missions. As the leader of the Elite Seven, Gozuki was originally owner of the Imperial Arm Murasame before the weapon ended up in Akame's possession.

The Akame ga Kill! manga and anime series features an extensive cast of fictional characters. The visuals of the characters were designed by Tetsuya Tashiro, while their stories were created by Takahiro. The story focuses on Tatsumi, a young warrior who joins an assassin group called Night Raid to fight corruption from the Empire. Its members, along with other characters in the series, wield super weapons called Teigu ( 帝具, Anime & movie: Imperial Arms). [1] [ ch.5] Conception [ edit ] Suzuka ( 鈴鹿) is a masochistic woman whose training as one of the Four Rakshasas gave her vast durability and endurance along with bodily manipulation like extending her nails at high speed to pierce her foes. Her achievements speak to her combat skill, having retrieved five Imperial Arms from enemies in the past. After surviving her battle with Tatsumi during Night Raid's mission to assassinate Bolic, Suzuka provided the Empire information on his ties to Night Raid while assigned to Wild Hunt to replace Champ and Enshin. She is a bi. Soon after, Esdeath nearly disfigures her, which in turn incites Suzuka's lustful obsession with Esdeath. Suzuka was placed under Esdeath's command during the siege of the Capital. In the end, Suzuka survived and left the Capital with Esdeath's severed hand. In the anime, she dies during her fight against Tatsumi.

Crimson blood-spray animated with such vigor that it makes it readily apparent that the people behind this project are having as much fun slaughtering their cast as we as viewers get from watching them die. In a way, it's like this show's animators were a part of the noble class themselves, as they hyper-fixate on bringing these death sequences to life. Sadly, when no one is being turned into blood confetti, the actual quality of the animation drops off significantly. Stiff body motion. Lazily panning across flat landscapes. Shading devoid of effort or care. Scene compositions setup with zero creative foresight; all of it expressed with complete apathy. As if it was an impatient child twiddling its thumbs waiting for the director to give it the green-light for the next fight sequence or public execution to occur. However, despite the limitation of a single user not being able to use two or more Teigu's at the same time, it has been shown that it is possible to be able to own and be compatible with more than one Teigu. This is seen where Najenda was the original user of Pumpkin prior to giving it to Mine, and was later able to bond and use Susanoo. Another example is one of the members of the Teigu Troops, where he was shown to posses both the Divination Teigu and Shamshir. This, in turn, showed that it is indeed possible to use more than one Teigu; the user, however, is limited to only being able to use and activate them one at a time rather than use them simultaneously. Vol. 1 (ch. 1–4): August 21, 2010. ISBN 978-4-7575-2980-9. (in Japanese). January 2015. ISBN 978-0-316-25946-0 (in English) The First Emperor who spearheaded the project called forth and hired various artisans, engineers, scientist, alchemists and even mystics in creating the 48 Teigu and, as such, each weapon was, presumably, uniquely constructed in its own unique process due to the sheer number of creators gathered by the Emperor, who also commissioned and tasked his imperial armies with the task of locating and acquiring several rare materials for the weapons' creation. Having successfully had them obtain the hides and corpses of Super and Special class Danger Beasts, such as the dragon Tyrant, and the rare alchemical super steel, Orichalcum.Ranked no.4, Pony is cheerful, straightforward, and rather dimwitted, who has a deep admiration for Gozuki and loved to please him. She also seems to enjoy fighting and killing her targets. Her Shingu is the "Yocto-bottoms", that gives the user extra acceleration and leg strength, but the user must compensate possible side-effects from extensive use with special physical training. Ranked no.3, Cornelia is the big-sister figure of the group. She is killed by one of Chelsea's former teammates called Taeko, after revealing her secret to her, unaware of her true identity. Her Shingu was the "Pulverization Ring", that bestows superhuman strength to its user, but can harm them if not used properly. Wave ( ウェイブ, Weibu) is a young fisherman from a small town who joins the Jaegers after having served in the empire's navy. [ ch.15] He dislikes the current state of the Empire but embraces his role as an enforcer due to a debt owed to an unseen savior from when he was in the navy. [ ch.28] Nevertheless, Wave tries befriending some of his fellow Jaegers, taking a liking to Bols and Kurome. His bond with Kurome as well his anger at atrocities caused by Wild Hunt cause him to act against them when Syura tries to violate Kurome. [ ch.46] Wave later intervenes in Kurome's duel with Akame and professes his love for her, convincing her to defects so he can treat her drug addiction. He receives Akame's blessing as she and the others agree to make it appear the two died in battle with each other. Wave initially possesses the Teigu "Carnage Incarnate: Grand Chariot" ( 修羅化身 ランシャリオ, Shura Kesshin: Guranshario), [ vol.4: postscript] a suit of armor modeled after Incursio that enhances his physical strength and grants flight. [ ch.18] Takahiro describes him as something of a rival character to Tatsumi because their Teigus are similar. [ vol.4:postscript] During Kurome's battle with Akame, Wave receives Run's Teigu "Thousands Miles Flight: Mastema" ( 万里飛翔 マスティマ, Banri Hishō: Masutima), and is able to use it and Grand Chariot in perfect synch, becoming the first person capable of using two Teigu at once. [ ch.66] However, this causes side effects that deteriorate his inner organs and killing his liver as a result. Wave eventually comes to Tatsumi's aid against the Emperor, and together, they defeat him. After the end of the war, Wave and Kurome both live together in peace. If there was a person who could embody the word "crazy". Seryuu probably fits the word perfectly. Probably the most hated character in the entire show. Seryuu is a person who has a completely twisted view on justice. She believes that everything the empire does is right and that everyone who goes against the empire is evil. Now although she is indeed twisted as hell and it is a normal response to hate her guts. I find that she brings a different point of view to the word "justice" in the show. To her the empire is her sense of justice. This outlines the different sense of justice between the two groups and what they are fighting for. Something that the show fails to do in many other places. Recruited along with her older sister Akame by the Empire, the two are separated into different assassination divisions. Kurome ( 黒女) eventually gains notoriety as a cruel, inhumane assassin. [ ch.3] Kurome was initially subjected to harsh treatment while forcefully administered experimental dopant drugs that enhance her abilities, developing an addiction as they are disguised as sweets. [ ch.15, 18] [ vol.4:postscript] [ ch.33] Upon learning of Akame's defection from the Empire, Kurome decides to be the one to kill her. Her Teigu, "March of the Dead: Yatsufusa" ( 死者行軍 八房, Shisha Yakōgun: Yatsufusa), is a katana that turns her victims into mute zombies; she can control up to eight creatures, including Danger Beasts, who can also use the skills they acquired when they were alive. [ ch.19] She joins the Jaegers and is the first person Wave meets. Her powers are permanently restricted in a failed assassination attempt by Chelsea, and in a final duel with her sister Akame she is almost killed. Wave eventually rescues her, and the two agree to defect from the Empire by faking their deaths. After the Empire's defeat and end of the war, Kurome and Wave both live together with the former still scarred by her past while the latter lost one of his internal organs as a price for using two Teigu at once.
