Vaia windstorm acts as a trigger, resurfacing issues of uncontrolled forestation and neglect in the last century in Italy. A friend and local jeweler, Wesley Barrow, is hosting an open studio in Woodside, CA, and has invited some other artists to join her for a holiday gift sale. Erin’s goal was to make her book “entertaining, approachable and fun”. She has accomplished her goal. The recipes are simple, contain easily obtainable ingredients and none look intimidating or time consuming. I have already made 10 of her recipes in the short time I’ve had the book, all of which were tasty. COOKBOOKS — The Forest Feast

Forest Feast has amazing photos in it. That was what inspired me to buy it. Looking at those pictures of the beautiful food and lovely outdoor scenery just makes you feel like you are there! It's like a beautiful dream. ForestFeastRoadTrip is 1 year old today! This book was so fun to make— our family road tripped all over California in 2019 and 2020 staying in 10 different cabin-ish places, everywhere from the ocean to the mountains to the desert. We got culinary inspiration along the way by visiting farms, ranches and wineries and I went home to create simple, colorful vegetarian recipes inspired by it all.

But the reality, is that when you actually break it all down to what the actual content is - the recipes - there really isn't a whole lot there! For two summers, I interned at Locatelli Partners in Milan, specialized in the retail sector, interior and furniture design. I was able to witness the development of conceptual stores for major retail brands and had the opportunity to work on the furniture design for Rinascente Department Store in Rome.

It’s like the maker got into my head and saw all the things that have ever bugged me about a puzzle and fixed it. Quality pieces. So many posters of the picture so multiple people can work. I love the pictures and how you can look at most pieces and figure out where it goes. Cute artwork. Fun at the end. I don’t know. I just can’t figure out how you would improve on it! Seriously, get this puzzle!I recently planted a borage plant in our little garden box…those pretty small blue edible flowers. Seems easy to grow and loving the pop of color it adds! It all started with Ezra, our 8-year-old. I usually wear long, colorful, patterned dresses and one day after soccer practice he said, “Mama, why don’t you wear leggings like all the other moms?” I said I didn’t think they were as much fun. And he replied, “But you could make it fun!” And so I did! Jonathan and I still live in the woods and we now have 3 kids, Ezra (born 2014) and Max (born 2017) and Winnie (born 2020).

The first dish I made had my boyfriend making those short of moaning sounds as he ate. The second dish had him bragging on social media. The third dish had him looking at me like I was God's gift to the veggie world! It’s been a busy summer and we’ve missed seeing everyone.
